Stuart Wood Island located in Moat Lake, part of Strathcona Provincial Park Forbiden Plateau. This 13 acre island has two cabins for you to enjoy. One cabin has enough room for four, the other cabin has room for six. There is a natural swimming pond on the island, warmed from the sun overhead.
Moat Lake is 12 km hike from Mt. Washington on a well marked trail, the Island can also be reached by Helicopter. Follow trail from Raven Lodge to Lake Helen Mackenzie 3 km, then 3.6 km to Hair Trigger lake which is a nice spot for lunch, then another 3 km to circlet lake. Moat lake is just another 1.6 km farther.
